Gina Cashen

Gina’s love of animals goes back to when she was very young; growing-up and being around dogs and cats her whole life. She began training and showing her dogs in 2001, which inspired her to pursue a career in grooming. She started professionally grooming in 2002 where she quickly fell in love with the profession. She later went to school to study Canine Cosmetology and graduated from the Michigan School of Canine Cosmetology in 2005.

In 2007 she opened her own pet salon, Clean As A Whisker, and has steadily grown her business over the years. She feels honored to have grown to where she is now and appreciates her long time loyal clients and their furbabies. Her favorite thing about grooming is getting the opportunity to start grooming them from when they’re just a puppy (or whatever stage they come to her), watching them grow up and groom them their entire lives. She enjoys getting to know each of her animal clients personalities and sending them home looking and smelling their best.

Gina lives in Alma, MI with her two beautiful daughters, a cat named RJ, and five dogs of her own. She has four Samoyeds: Avery, Felicity, Keeki, Mica, and Sage. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her girls and competing in dog shows with the Samoyeds, of which three of them are AKC Champions.
